We’re seeking a talented, full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our Assessment and IEP Evaluation Team in Philadelphia, PA.

This is a year-round, full-time opportunity offering:

· $57/hour

· 40 hours per week

What to Expect from This Role:

· Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ functional vision and educational needs

· Evaluate the impact of visual impairment on academic and social-emotional development

· Administer various assessment tools and document findings

· Collaborate with parents, educators, and related service providers

· Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to evaluation reports

· Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

· Recommend and support use of assistive technologies

· Ensure proper documentation, compliance with state/federal guidelines, and timely submission of reports

· Foster strong relationships with students, families, and school staff

· Perform all other duties related to special education as required

Qualifications

Professional License Requirements:

Applicants are required to have the following, legally mandated certifications. Applicants without these requirements will not be considered.

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

· Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certificate for Visually Impaired PK-12
